Get The Pho Outta Here!

Sometimes you get woken up at 4am on a Saturday due to unforeseen circumstances. When all is said and done all you have are your thoughts and an empty stomach. What could be more comforting than a big o'l bowl of Pho at 10am?

You may ask, what restaurant that serves Pho will be open at 10am? Reader, as you will come to learn, Convoy always delivers!

I made my way to Pho Fusion in the Convoy District on Clairemont Mesa Blvd and ordered my go-to: Pork and Shrimp Spring Rolls and Pho Dac Biet (pho containing a variety of meats). I rate both an 8/10 - excellent flavors, fast service, and very fulfilling to the soul.

After a very satisfying and fulfilling meal, I made my way over to Matcha Cafe Maiko which is in the same complex. It opened at 11am, and I was a bit early so I hung around like a stalker. A few strange looks won't get in the way of a man and his matcha.

My handler gave me a few options of what to order, and naturally I obliged. I went with the Matcha Kuromitsu Kinako Latte. A special matcha latte blended with Japanese black sugar syrup topped with soybean flour. I opted for the iced version, like my heart.

The matcha was delicious! A solid 8.5/10. Still doesn't beat my favorite matcha (will be revealed later), but a delicious matcha nonetheless!
